I took this photo in a botanic garden close to where I live. I just love the bee !
27 April 2009
It seems my life is a never ending cycle of the same types of days. Weekdays go to work and weekends rush around to get everything done… It’s not until one takes time out to stand back and reflect and observe oneself outside the body that this cycle actually becomes apparent. Not sure how I feel about this yet. Will reflect and observe on this a little further.
I am reading a book at the moment called “Its never too late” by Patrick Lindsay. It is a book about everything never being too late. I like that concept. I guess nothing is ever too late unless you chose it to be.
The passage I chose this morning is;
It’s never too late
To Love Life
Consider the alternative
Have the time of your life
It’s up to you.
You can live flat out
Or you can slowly rust.
Be the best you can.
I will take this passage with me into my day and my week.
This week I will design and stitch the mother’s day bookmark. After that I will design a few cushion designs that have been brewing in my mind for some time.
There are so many things I would like to design. The facsinating thing about designing something new is that what is in one’s head does not always translate as expected when it is stitched. Sometimes it is much better than I had imagined it and sometimes worse. While the ideas continue to swim around in my head I will continue to translate them into objects and always hope and expect that they will turn out better than expected.
Happy Threading !
