Cat and the Rain Cross Stitch Chart

The cat and the rain cross stitch chart was one of the very first cross stitch samplers I had the pleasure of designing. I enjoyed creating the layout and thinking about the images that would be portrayed in the final design.
The inspiration for the chart came from my love of cats. The design also features many bright and cheerful colors which are my preference. Designing a cross stitch sampler is not as easy as it looks. There is alot of think about including making sure the chart looks balanced and the colors work well together.
The chart was free for a very long time but it has now been discontinued and will now peacefully reside in the Happy Threads historical files. There are many more samplers to be designed and shared with you soon.

I have had to have my husband show me how to leave a comment as I have been visiting your site for some time and have very much enjoyed your work.
This sampler though is your best work yet in my view, it’s gorgeous and I love how you’ve captured the rain in the window as a half back stitch.
Are the photos you feature your work? They are beautiful, you’re very talented dear.
I will try and get hubby to help me send a picture of this chart when I am finished.
