Cross stitch Rose

Monday 4 January 2010

Happy New Year to you all !  I hope it will be a fantastic year for you and that you achieve all the things this year you want to.  I am looking forward to 2010 and to sharing more charts and cross stitch and needlepoint ideas and information with you.  There are some surprises to come this year but they will take a little time in the making !

Is it too early to think of Mother’s Day yet ?  If you want to make something for her or perhaps a birthday present for a good friend now is the time to start stitching.

Over the break I designed a small rose chart which I am stitching.  It is a little different and with lots of vibrant colors which I love.  This is a paid chart and will be released soon in the Happy Threads Store.

I have been stitching it during the break and it is so nice to stitch.  The design is fairly simple but the rose it  more challenging to stitch and requires some concentration.  I am stitching it on linen and the result is beautiful.

I hope you enjoy your day.

Thought for the day is from Henry Van Dyke who says

There is no personal charm so great as the charm of a cheerful temperament”. How true !

Charlie
