Abstract cross stitch flower and weekend away !

I went away this weekend and it was absolutely lovely.  I travelled only an hour away from where I live and found myself on a property surrounded by rolling green hills and animals everywhere.  The first photo shows a kangaroo in the distance.  He is on the left hand side of the photo.  The second photo is of a group of cockatoos who flew off as I tried to approach them.  I love connecting with nature and getting away from everything for a while.

The weather was beautiful but the wind a little chilly.  It was so nice to get away.

Today’s chart is an abstract flower cross stitch.  This cross stitch measures 72 x 74 stitches and is intended to be stitched using DMC cotton floss on 14 count Aida. It could also be stitched with wool and Canvas.
