Needlepoint teacup

Little Bird

Monday 21 June 2010

On the weekend I visited my local florist.  Not only does she have the most beautiful arrangements of flowers but she also has some beautiful and unusual gifts.  I could not resist buying this little plastic bird in a cage.  Not only is it very colorful but when you clap your hands it sings for a few seconds.  Although I like the bird very much I am not entirely sure about how I feel having the bird in the cage.  The only consolation is that is is not a real.

In the meantime my cup of tea inspired me to create a colorful needlepoint chart.  I am mad about tea and teacups.  I just love them.  Cups are fabulous and come in all shapes and sizes.  This needlepoint features my favorite color, blue and one of my favorite pattern, spots.  I liked having the cup of tea in front of a bookshelf.  It is a bit asbstract but I like the colors.  The chart is not very big and should be very quick and fun to stitch.  This needlepoint will be available through the Happy Threads Store soon.

I am reading “Joy” by Osho at the moment.  A very interseting and confronting book.  In one passage he says “When all anger, greed, ambition, jealousy, possessiveness, lust disappears, the energy involved in them is released.  That energy becomes you bliss”.  I will ponder  this for the next few days.

Take care

Charlie
